Mrs. Wesley Conley
Wesley Conley was appointed by the Union City Board of Education to serve the at-large seat left vacant by Campbell Rice’s move out of state in May. She will seek election in the November schoolboard race. Mrs. Conley is the wife of Union City attorney Steve Conley. The couple has two children — Tripp, 13, an eighth-grader at Union City Middle School, and Caroline, 10, a fifth-grader at Union City Elementary School. She is a graduate of the Obion County Adult Leadership program and it was her class that began the Youth Leadership Obion County program. Mrs. Conley served three years on the YLOC board. Since moving to Union City, Mrs. Conley has been active in the community. She is a former Union City J’Cette and was a member of Junior Auxiliary. The Conleys are members of First Baptist Church in Union City. Mrs. Conley is a native of Dyersburg and graduated from Dyersburg High School. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and earned her teaching degree at Belmont University. She taught fifth grade in the Franklin Special School District before moving to Union City and she currently works as a substitute teacher in the Union City School System.
